Official Opening of the New Reading Room

We are pleased to share that our new Reading Room was officially opened on Friday 27 March at 10am.

The Reading Room provides a calm, welcoming space dedicated to reading, study and the development of literacy skills. It has been made possible through the generous funding of the Association of Newport High School, whose continued support is greatly appreciated.

This new facility will be used to support independent reading, literacy interventions, and small group learning, helping to foster a love of reading and support learners at all stages of their development.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Association of Newport High School and to everyone involved in making this project and our ideas come to life.

We hope this space will inspire a love of reading, support learning, and provide a quiet, welcoming environment where pupils can develop their confidence and enjoyment of books and stories
