Supporting the children of our families who are experiencing financial difficulties is one of our main priorities. We will be reviewing this section of the website over the course of this year to add any links or information that might help. Please keep checking this section of the website to ensure you don’t miss any important information.

 It is vital that any family who might be eligible to claim Free School Meals does so. This is financial support for free food in school and/or a school’s essential grant.

We are aware that many of our families who may be entitled to Free School Meals are not claiming this additional financial support. You can check if you are entitled to Free School Meals, please visit the council’s website at www.newport.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/school-meals/free-school-meals

Individual families accessing Free School Meals also helps us as a school because the more pupils who access Free School Meals the more additional funding we can claim in school. 

If you are entitled to Free School Meals and do not claim it, we miss out on essential funding so it is important that all families that are eligible do claim this important benefit.

If you are not in receipt of Free School Meals but think you might be eligible and would like any help in accessing this additional support, please let us know so we can support.
