Financial Studies Qualification

We have taken the decision to enter all students in Year 11 for a qualification in Financial Studies. This is an incredibly valuable opportunity to develop vital life skills around topics such as bank accounts, tax, managing budgets, understanding interest rates and much more. If successful students will gain a GCSE qualification of a grade A*-C. We have been using form time to deliver this information and students have been provided with revision materials over the last two weeks along with username and passwords for the LIBF website.
Half term is a fantastic opportunity for students to look over this work and revise the course. I would therefore, really appreciate it if you could encourage your child to spend some time revising this over the holidays. If they have lost their revision materials, they are available on the year 11 Teams page.
The exam is on-line and will take place on Wednesday 28th February. It has 4 units, each consisting of multiple choice questions. Students will therefore be in an ICT suite for the full day to complete this qualification. I would appreciate it if you could ensure that you child attends school on this day and understand what an amazing opportunity this is to gain a valuable qualification, in an essential life skill and achieve this before the busy summer exam series starts.
