Year 9 Examinations
During the first 2 weeks back, from Monday 8th January to Friday 19th January, Year 9 students will sit their annual exams. Students will be given the specific dates and times of their exams by their subject teachers.
Year 9 exams take place early in the year so that they can be used to support students with their options process. They are an extremely important way of ensuring that students achieve their full potential and make the correct subject choices ready for their GCSEs.
It is therefore vital that each student gives an accurate representation of the progress they have made so far in each of their subjects and what their true abilities currently are. To ensure that this happens, students need to start revising and preparing for their exams now. Advice on how to revise is provided to students during form time and in lessons. Please support your child by encouraging an appropriate level of revision for each exam.
