Expired & Forgotten Passwords
If your password has expired, you can now reset it online – click here. Select ‘Newport High School’ from the domain drop down box.
The first time you login (with your expired password); you will be given a QR code to setup the 2 factor-authentication. You will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device to configure this.
When you first open the app, click ‘Add account’:
Then tap ‘Work or school account’:
You will be prompted to allow camera access, press Allow and scan the code on screen. The app will then generate your unique code which you can use to authenaticate.
Once logged in, you will be able to change your password. When you’ve set your new password; this will be live instantly and will work for Teams, Email etc.
If pupils are still having difficulty accessing their online school account (if they have forgotten their password completely, or don’t have a smart mobile device) please can you email firstname.lastname@example.org from an email address that is registered on your child’s SIMS records. Please quote the pupils school email address. We cannot accept requests from personal student accounts, as we have no way of verifying their authenticity.

All students are also entitled to a free copy of Microsoft Office – which can be installed on up to 5 devices. To download Office for free, click here. Login with your student account, then in the top right hand corner click the ‘Install Office‘ icon -> then ‘Office 365 Apps’. If you are having difficulty with this, please contact ICT support via email.
