They had been invited to present on the Role of the Student-Voice at Newport High School. The presentation lasted 30 minutes and the audience consisted of approximately 60 Education Professionals from Newport and Cardiff. The conference was about Student well-being. They were the only students invited to this important event and they represented the School in a truly professional manner. They were approached by a number of people afterwards who congratulated them on their appearance and presentation skills. All pupils that took part in this event felt extremely important and proud to be chosen from the School Council to play such an important role in the day.

On Tuesday 16th March, a group of 6 pupils attended the 21ST Century Schools conference at the Swalec Stadium, Cardiff. This launch was for Schools from all across Wales who are currently about to have a new school built or are having a refurbishment of their existing school. Our pupils were invited to the event to give their views and opinions on the impact that a brand new building has had on their school life and to their learning.

They took part in discussion forums to an audience of approximately 80 people. All pupils were extremely positive about the school and the impact that it has had on their Education. One of the added highlights to the day was that they watched the Glamorgan Cricket Team training for their upcoming season. The team were extremely friendly and even made time for the pupils to have a photo with them.
