Forgotten Landscapes

A group of Year 12 and 13 students enjoyed the ‘Forgotten Landscapes’ Induction day at the University of Wales, Caerleon on Monday. The course continues in school for the rest of the week with visiting lecturers leading a variety of sessions.  This university level course looks at the place of Wales in Europe and the world, using the iron industry in Blaenavon as a case study. The course links to the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification and will earn the students credits that can be submitted as part of their university applications.
Students had a great day at Caerleon and they all looked wonderful in their new school uniform!
