Newport High Links with Manga High

The maths department has just launched the school onto the Manga High Maths website.

This site is full of maths games and challenges allowing you to achieve awards while learning maths in a fun and interactive way. You can access the site from home and your teachers will be setting you some challenges. The school will also be competing against other schools so we need your help to get some points.

Combined Carol Concert

On Tuesday 13 December almost 300 students from Newport High and all 7 of our feeder primary schools participated in our annual Combined Carol Concert.
Plans for an outdoor candle-lit service were changed at the last minute due to rain, wind and hailstones! The sports hall venue proved ideal, however, for the beautiful sound of the well-rehearsed choirs who have spent months perfecting the variety of songs and carols. Representatives from each school performed readings in between the carol singing.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the festive evening- a big thanks to all the staff involved in preparing the choirs and of course to all of the learners for their outstanding performance on the night!
